How to fix low resolution images
There’s nothing worse than spending hours on your designs, to find that they are pixelated when printed because of low resolution issues. Here’s how to fix low resolution images:
We recommend that you create vectored artwork, which unlike bitmap images, retains the detail needed for print and makes the artwork scaleable. It is impossible to have resolution issues when using vectors.
To learn more about vector art, please take a look at this article from Adobe.
If there are however bitmap or jpeg images within your designs, please ensure that they have a DPI of at least 300. Anything less is printable but we cannot guarantee that the print will be of high quality.
Another low resolution image fix is to redraw or live trace your design using Adobe Illustrator. Simple artwork can be redrawn by our in-house designers at Abacas Studios and we usually include this as a free service with your order. If you would like to talk to us about this service, please give us a call on 01908 520 920 or send an email to sales@abalabels.co.uk.
Please note that we do withhold the right to charge for complex designs or complete makeovers of artwork. If applicable, we will always discuss this with you before proceeding.
